BAS Property Consultants Ltd were initially appointed in August 2017 to complete a feasibility study for the installation of Airbus’ Zephyr programme in two new industrial units in Farnborough. The works were to provide a build area for the Zephyr programme alongside provision of office, welfare and customer experience zones. BAS Property Consultants Ltd were appointed as Lead Designer, Architect and Project Manager for the project. Through a successful stakeholder engagement process, and rigorous design review and critique the project was moved forward at feasilibty stage to find spatial solution that met the client’s requirements but also sat within the project budgets. Moving forwards to tendering the project, BAS Property Consultants Ltd completed a full specification alongside working drawings, to ensure the completed design would be provide a clean, practical and high end working environment that specifically met the servicing needs for the Zephyr build process. Notably complex electrical provisions and designs were incorporated within the design specification to meet client requirements. BAS Property Consultants Ltd continued to Project Manage the works on site, with the project works completed on time and in budget in May 2018. BAS Property Consultants Ltd have since been re-employed from 2020 to initially undertake the design feasibility and thereafter the detailed design to support the tender process for a second phase of the project, incorporating a third unit adjacent to those previous completed also consolidating Airbus’ assets from Cody Park.
